-How long in advance should I place an order?
We recommend placing your order at least 4 months to 6 months in advance.
- I don't have 4 to 6 months notice to give. Is it impossible to have a Delana Formals custom piece?
You can still contact us for your last minute orders but please note that requests of that nature are subject to a "time sensitive fee". These request are also accepted on a case by case basis.
- What is a "Time Sensitive Fee" ?
A "time sensitive fee" is a fee that is incurred when the client makes an additional or new request that requires additional labor outside of the designer's set schedule.
-I plan on loosing / gaining weight in the future to properly fit my gown. Can you accommodate these future changes?
As we applaud your choices to feel and look your best self, we ask that you approach dress making of such nature with a set and clear goal. We can discuss your ideal vital stats for your special day during measurements. This means that if you would like to add or subtract off your current stats you are welcome to; but please note that the measurements written that day will be final after your confirmation. Any additional changes may be subject to a "time sensitive fee".
- Do you require a deposit?
We require a deposit for all orders. This deposit gives us the go ahead to begin sourcing your materials. The deposit is 50% of your quote. The remaining balance must be paid before your piece is taken home with you.
-How much will my dress cost?
The cost of dresses varies from piece to piece. There are two components that make up the cost of each piece; they are the materials and the labor . The materials (i.e. Fabric, lining, appliqués etc) are chosen based on your style of dress and the cost of labor is dependent on the amount of time required to complete a piece. A rough labor cost estimate can be provided in advance but material costs sometimes can only be determined after initial consultation. Please note that all pieces are handmade and additional care and time goes into adding appliqués and handling delicate fabric.
